Jeff Wenger

Hi, These are the cars I take out to the track. There are two excellent road courses in Las Vegas proper, and a third less than an hour west of town. The local Porsche Clubs, BMW Club and numerous other clubs sponsor track events several times a month.

I am members of the Porsche Club of America, Porsche Owners Club, Sin City BMW Club, Las Vegas Italian Auto Club, Ferrari Club of America, Ferrari Owners Club, and the Ferrari Club of Las Vegas. Local track events are listed here for the three Las Vegas race tracks.

Ferrari 308

This is a 1982 308 GTBi and yes, even though it isn't red, this is a 100% original Ferrari. License plate: "BIANCO". (That means "white" in Italian.) I purchased it in early 2002 and have kept it completely stock except for the recent addition of OMP racing seats, OMP 6-point harnesses, 16 inch Speedline wheels, Dunlop SP Sport 8000 P205/55ZR16 89W front, P225/50ZR16 rear unidirectional combination street/track tires, a fire extinguisher, and a coolant overflow resevoir.

I have had it out on the track with the Ferrari Club of America at Watkins Glen twice and Lime Rock once in the summer of 2002. I've also had it on the track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway inner and outer tracks and the Spring Mountain Motor Sports Park with the Pantera Club, Porsche Club and a number of other Las Vegas area clubs. I'm a founder and active member of the Ferrari Club of Las Vegas where you can see a list of local track events.

Porsche 944

I purchased this 1985 1/2 Porsche in May, 2003 and made no modifications before putting it on the track two days later. All it needed was a set of brake pads and rotors. I later added a set of 17 inch wheels and Dunlop track tires from a Porsche 933 Turbo which further improved handling on the track. License plate: "2FST".

This car is not only an excellent handling track car, it is also very comfortable on the street with an Blaupunkt sound system, leather interior, and tinted windows. It's an excellent touring car, very comfortable on long trips. It's been great to me, but now that I have my Porsche 952, I don't need it. I sold it to a guy who flew in from Houston and drove it back.

Porsche 944 Turbo S - AKA: Porsche 952

The 944 handled beautifully on the track, but for more power I flew to Tucson and purchased this 1988 Turbo "S" factory prototype designation Porsche 952. I removed the front seats and installed black Momo racing seats, red OMP belts and a full rollcage. I took the 952 out to the track to the Porsche Owners Club event for the first time on February 7, 2004 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway center track which incorporates the high bank tri-oval. It was a blast! Here are a couple of pics on the LVMS back straight.
